Was it really 30 years ago that this pale faced young man come to my dojo and asked if he could train Aikido?

30 years, that half a life time and in all this time this young man has dedicated his life to the study of Yoshinkan Aikido.
He has done this despite being in very bad health at times and overcoming all obstacle's with his determination and strong spirit.
He has been not only my student but also my friend who has stood by me through good times and bad.
Garry Sensei is now a master of Aikido and leads the Kenshinkai with the qualities of a great Sensei.

Garry Sensei it is my privilege to know you and to be able to say that you are my friend, I, my wife Oksana and all of the members of the Misogikan
Group here in Russia send our congratulations on celebrating your 30 years in Aikido and wish you good luck and health leading towards your next celebration.

With respect

As many of you know there have been many changes in the structure and leadership of the Yoshinkan Honbu Dojo in Japan.

This started with the resignation of the then Kancho of Yoshinkan Inoue Hanshi 9th dan and later with the resignation of Chida Sensei 8th dan.

These events caused much dismay and stress to many people world wide including myself . I have always had the greatest of respect for both of these Sensei’s whom I consider to be two of the greatest Sensei’s in the world.

Last year myself, my wife Oksana and Alexander Bekshokov travelled to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia to attend the official opening of the new custom built dojo of Sensei Sonny Loke 6th dan.

This was a special event attended by many persons of high position within the Malaysian Government.

The visit was very enjoyable not only from meeting and training with old friends, receiving the wonderful tuition from the great Master Kancho Inoue but also because at this seminar took place a Honbu Dojo Instructor examination.
